Not so star-ry affair..

So I’m at this restraint one day and I over hear a conversation off the next table. They were complaining about someone. At first I did not get who they were talking of or what they were talking of. But as I strained my ears further and realized they were a bunch of fans complaining about a particular star. Apparently this star was supposed to be at some place by 3pm on some day and did not reach on time. The star was only 3 hours late. These girls had reached at 0:300 hours and were sweating and fanning themselves with the autograph book they had brought. And then I heard them say that it had begun to rain and some of them did not have an umbrella. So their make up and hair got ruined. Well I said to myself, “Its your choice to go and wait.” But yet I felt sorry for them.

I must say that I have even heard of girls waiting for over 4 hours to meet their beloved stars at places where the stars may have called them. It’s according to many rational people insane to lave everything aside and devote so much of time to stars.

Now another thing which the fans blow off their ego with is by standing outside or below the buildings or houses the stars stay in. Some have seen the security shout at the fans or talk to them rudely. At times they wait for days together and do not get lucky. Teenagers run from their homes in other cities to come to this city to catch a glimpse of them who they admire and want to one day dream of becoming like.

And when they do meet the stars through contests or at awards, it’s never enough. They just smile or sign an autograph and quickly make an exit. Or if it’s on set between shots they at times appear to be in character when they meet the star and that can be very unnerving and unsatisfactory. The incompleteness of the meeting haunts the fan for months together if he/she is in love with the star. The fans emotional side remains unsatisfied and they become disheartened very quickly.

And the worst heartbreak, I hear from my teenage niece, these days, is when one fan finds out that the star show more favor to the other fan than them. There becomes the matter of competition and to who should be treated how by the stars. The fans say that the older and more loyal a fan, the better the treatment.  Do I know the logic behind this?? No I don’t.

With the growth in social media  have witnessed that the fans go out of the way to promote their films by making pages and creating awareness and spending hours updating it. Not only this, have also seen websites of stars made by fans with all love and enthusiasm. They land up spending hours on the site, collecting pictures and news.

Initially I was under the impression it was a PR process but later I realised they were just fans and some of them haven't event been lucky to meet their favourite star. I feel sorry, But hatts off to such people who devote so much of time for some1 who they love. My all respects and bows to them.

At times it hurts when, some biggie gets to meet a star through contacts and then stays in touch with the star and a true fan who is not as well to do keeps struggling for the entire life to catch the glimpse of the person they admire the most.

Life is like that. This creates hatred and heart break for the other fans who are not fortunate and love the star at the same level but are just not lucky and there is a clash.

My question is do stars really deserve so much attention? They are doing their job, but as fans are we getting the desired response?

Now whether a star can reach out to all is a question only the fans and the can answer.

Ready Movie review

                                                                   Ready Movie Review
Action, comedy and fun three things that audience look forward in a Salman Khan movie.Ready is a movie that has all three of them, with loads of bollywood tadka in it.Though it is a remake of a south film,a great attempt has been made by director Aneez Bazmee.Having a U/A rating Ready is open for all audiences from a kid to a senior citizen.
IT is a love story, which revolves around two characters Prem [Salman khan] and his love interest Sanjana [ASIN].The 1st hour of the movie is relatively slow, and seems like there is forced humour in it.But later when the stroy starts shaping it kind of engages the audience.
The story goes like this,Prem is a cassonova and doesn’t do anything lucrative in life. His family wants him to get married to a Pandit’s daughter hoping for his betterment.Prem goes to the airport to take the Pandit’s daughter Pooja (without knowing her,or even seeing a picture].Sanjana is also at the same airport trying rescue herself from the  Rogues in a bridal wear. She over hears Prem’s conversation of waiting for an unknown girl grabs the chance claims herself to be Pooja and runs away with him.Sanjana then comes to Prem’s house and his big family is so excited thinking she is Pooja.Sanjana’s attitude towards Prem is very rude.So prem takes her for a drive and decides to leave he in the jungle. But is unsuccessful,at the same night he discovers that she is not  Pooja but is Sanjana ,but its late,by this time they fall in love.
Meanwhile,Prem goes and tells Sanjana that he is now aware of the truth.Sanjana then confesses and tells him that she is an Orphan and the Rogues were actually sent by her own Mama’s who are greedy for property. Both, the Mama’s are rivals and want her to get married to their respective brother in laws so that they can get her property.
By now,the audience actually gets the grip of the story and gets engaged in it.Prem makes a master plan to get those Mama’s on the right track. To start with he first approaches Paresh Rawal  who plays a common accountant to both the Mama’s.Prem then makes his own family pose like they are multi billionaire. One of his uncle acts like the Manager of the world bank and reveals to the Mama’s that Sanjana’s father had taken a loan of 200 crore and they need the money now.So now the Mama’s are in trouble they have only two options left either to sell the property or to get Sanjana married to some one else. All this lead to Prem and Sanjana’s wedding plan as they has no other guy in mind.
Now the climax of the story comes, that on the day of the marriage Prem’s entire plan gets exposed and now how he overcomes it .Is for the audience to look out for.
Salam Khan plays a complete entertainer and has given his best shot and hasn’t failed to impress. No improvement interms of Asin she plays Salman’s eye candy and that is it. Not much of her acting skills could be showcased. Mahesh Manjrekar who plays Salman’s dad  has a weak memory and he constantly portrays his disability by making vulgar physical and oral gestures to describe anything he can't re-collect looked like a forced rumour but a fair job done by him.The guy who stole the show was  Paresh Rawal,Amazing comedy timing terrific.Along with these stars, there were guest appearances made by Sanjay dutt,Arbaz Khan,Ajay Devgan,Chunkey Pandey,Kangana and Zarine Khan.
The music of the film tops the charts with Dhika Chika and character dhilla hai. This acts as the biggest advantage for the film. Also dhinka chika plays in the background and each time it plays you can hear some whistles.Pritam has indeed done a great job.
Apart from the some strong comic scenes there are a lot of scenes that don’t make sense.Everything looks like a mess and seems like too stretched towards the end.Ready is very filmy and lacks practicality. But if you keep your mind aside for those three hours then I assure you that there is loads of entertainment and fun coming your way.Ready is not a movie for The Class but it strictly a movie for The Mass.It it can rightly be called a typical Bollywood film with all the ingredients in it.This film is going to do a great business at single screen.
3stars.

My views on "The Ranbir Kapoor"

Oozing with talented genes, the Kapoor scion packs chocolate boy good looks with a goofy grin and natural on-screen flair. His liaisons with leading actresses only fan the flames of his popularity. Add to that his Mama’s boy persona and you get B’wood’s latest poster-boy. From showing his butt in Saawariya to coming-of-age in Wake up Sid, Ranbir has consistently wowed the audience. With Raajneeti, he showed his mature side, as he held his own against stalwarts like Ajay Devgn and Manoj Bajpai. Though he may never team up with cousin Kareena, his pairing with Katrina and Priyanka works its magic. Mothers want to adopt him, girls want to marry him and guys want to be like him. The epitome of cool in young India.
Tu jaane na becomes one of the only hindi songs to reach more than 3 million views on youtube.

AND WUpS comes on arabic channels, apart from SRK, only RK has done this, that to only 3 years since his career began. Proud of u RK<3

RK has really reached out to an international audience, with only 7 films to his credit, he's sensational
I think Ranbir Kapoor is just "PERFECT" and he said once I believe he is "Ausum in every Mausum".

Star Dumb !!!

Most indians love glamour. No matter what they say, they adore glamour, fame. Still, with the drugs, sex and crime involved these stars are loved beyond measure. People will give up a days work just to catch a glimpse of cellluloid saviors, men who play the common man doing extraordinary things.Stars are just a human being like us,and every individual is aware of it.Then why such madness???.Well, the answer to this question is what I am looking for.Recently, had been to Holland and I was stunned to see the stars there , they were actually standing in the long queue at the super market. This is the way it should  be.We Indians are emotional fools, the entertainment quality that we have today is nill. There is just no quality. The news that we have is,which star is wearing what,or who had a break up,or who went to the temple? Is this news?.A recent show Bigboss seemed to be scripted with all the drama, also shows like Spllitsvilla don’t make sense to me.Shows like dare to Dare to Date, where all struglling models just come and be happy of getting featured on the tv,and we as audience are considered fools,if we consider all this crap reality.I had been to Siddhivinayak temple and the entry was closed for 30 mins just coz a star was inside.God has made us all. Then why be bias??Who are these stars??At times they don’t really know that we have made them, when they are no1 they are sweet and when they become star, they tell their bodyguard to keep fans away.Fans on twitter and facebook write so much about their favourite star, but hardly they are aware of it or act on it.Are we as fans, wasting our time, money and energy running for sum1 who don’t really know about it?
Recently, this voting system which has started, the unconditional love of a fan for their star is now used for minting money.I thought, of voting for my favourite star.I sent thousands of sms,did online voting. My favourite star was a clear winner with the highest votes. My heart was filled with joy.But when the award function happened,he dint get the award, instead some other star got. So,why this illogical voting system, when its all decided. Ultimately it made no point.Fans are often considered as jobless foolish people. As i have been a crazy fan of a star people often address me as “arey yeh to pagal hai yaar” .If this is the respect we get after all the undying love, its not worth it.
Stars should probably, get in touch with fans and meet them. When they are shooting they care a dam.During movie relases you see them everywhere from malls to lalbaugcha raja  and orphanage and so on.Which is so wrong.I have seen how much one has to go through to meet their favourite star.So my point of writing this whole this is,that stardom is because of fans, and every fan has the right to meet their favourite star.
